Tiny Cabin & Canopy Lounge Near Boone, NC

Published: April 6, 2023 | Boone, North Carolina

When we decided to make a weekend trip to Boone, NC we found ourselves enamored by many of the different short-term rental offerings by Tiny Escapes. The tiny cabin with canopy lounge proved to be the perfect escape for our small family and I would recommend it to anyone.

One thing I want to point out is that the main living space is in fact outside in the screened-in Canopy Lounge at the base of the cabin’s steps. The actual cabin space is true to its “tiny” name with just a nice, but modest kitchen, a small dining table/workspace and bathroom with shower on the first floor. The second floor is an open loft-type bedroom.

Now for more on that Canopy Lounge. When the hosts purchased the property this was used as a carport. It has since been completely screened in which makes it perfect for warm, summer nights. The large, cozy sofa is great for an afternoon nap and perfect for evening conversation amid the propane fire pit coffee table. You can spend a relaxing afternoon practicing yoga with the provided exercise mats, you can set up your full dinner spread on the large dining table, and then you can relax in the hot tub on a cool evening.

It doesn’t end there. Outside the canopy lounge is a hammock garden with hammocks strung up in the trees. If you’ve never fallen asleep in a hammock on a warm afternoon, you’re missing out and I suggest you give it a try when you stay here. You may even hear a resident woodpecker on a nearby tree.

Decor We Loved

The Tiny Cabin is one of three Tiny Escapes homes on this piece of property, but I never felt like my privacy was compromised. You may run into another guest across the driveway as you walk out to your car, but should you wish for complete privacy you can have it.

When staying here you are approximately 20-25 minutes outside of the town of Boone. That’s close enough to drive in for dinner, but far enough to feel that rural escape. Boone is a thriving college town, so whether you’re visiting a student or you’re flocking to the mountains during the Fall foliage season, this short-term rental is a great option for a relaxing getaway and I highly recommend it!
